Hamstrung Houdini

Whilst tooling around the webbernet I learned that young Houdini was quite the runner. He was especially accomplished at running in wet, soggy cross-country conditions. Apparently back in his day if the race course was miserably swampy he was almost assured the win. Who knew? The web is amazing. Of course knowing Harry he probably just “disappeared” after the start and reappeared at the finish — in first place, natch.

FYI: For those who don’t know “pulling a hammy” means pulling (injuring) a hamstring.
